Accessibility statement for Almarcia

Conformance status

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) define requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. They define three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA. Almarcia is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 level AA. Partially conformant means that some parts of the content do not fully conform to the accessibility standard.

Additional accessibility considerations

Although our goal is WCAG 2.1 Level AA conformance, we have also applied some Level AAA success criteria: images of text are only used for decorative purposes, and re-authentication after a session expires does not cause loss of data.

Motion and sound

The patterns on this site move slowly as you scroll, and some respond to your pointer. Every one of them has a still, finished state. If your device asks for reduced motion, the wheels, lines and patterns appear in their finished positions and nothing moves. The interactive wheels work from the keyboard: focus one and use the arrow keys. The tuning forks make no sound until you turn sound on.
