Some bonds nourish us. Others keep pulling long after the story has ended. A marriage that is over on paper but not in the body. A home you left years ago that still lives in your chest. Fears and lack you never chose, handed down through your family line.
Alongside my Feng Shui work, I hold sacred rituals to help you release what no longer belongs to you and bring your own sweetness back to you. Each ritual has its own purpose, and choosing the right one matters.
Where these rituals come from
I was born in Brazil, a land where faith lives in the kitchen, in the garden and on the altar. I grew up surrounded by candles, herbs, coarse salt and prayers whispered with intention. In Brazil we know that energy is not abstract. It is something you feel, something you can move, clear and bless.
My time with the Yawanawá people at Aldeia Mushuinu, in the Amazon, deepened this knowing. The forest teaches without words. Everything is connected, nothing is taken without respect, and every release is followed by new growth. A tree lets its old leaves fall without fear, because it trusts that the soil will turn them into life.
These rituals carry that wisdom. They are not superstition and they are not spells against anyone. They are acts of intention, prayer and energetic hygiene, held with respect for the elements and for your free will.
What we release with love makes room for what is meant for us.
Energetic divorce
When two people share a life, a bed and a body, their energies weave together deeply. Marriage, long partnerships and sexual intimacy create some of the strongest energetic ties we can form. When the relationship ends, those ties often stay. You may still feel the other person’s moods, dream of them, or find that no one new can quite come close.
The energetic divorce is the most recommended ritual for marriages, long-term partnerships and sexual connections. Two candles represent the two of you, bound by a single cord. With prayer and intention, the cord is cut, and each person’s energy is gently returned to its owner. Nothing is taken. Each soul is simply given back to itself, free to love again.
Cord cutting
We form energetic cords with everything we give our attention, our emotion and our time to. Not all of them are romantic, and not all of them are with people. Cord cutting is wider than the energetic divorce. It is for the emotional attachments that keep you looking backwards. Cords can form with:
- An ex-partner or a past love
- A former boss or workplace
- Family members
- Friends who drain you
- Material belongings
- A car
- A home you have left
- A city or a country
- Emotions such as guilt, fear or resentment
Cutting a cord does not mean cutting love. You can still love your mother, honour your old home or remember a city with tenderness. What we release is the hook, the heaviness that keeps your energy tied to something you have already outgrown.
Ancestral clearing: opening the path
Some of what we carry is older than we are. Scarcity. Poverty that repeats generation after generation. The belief that we must suffer to deserve, that money never stays, that love always leaves. Our ancestors survived wars, hunger, migration and loss, and many of their fears were passed down to us like an inheritance no one wanted.
The ancestral clearing is a cord cutting with these patterns. We cut the ties with scarcity, misery and the baggage of the lineage, while honouring the ancestors themselves. In the indigenous way of seeing, the ancestors are our roots. We do not cut the roots. We clear the path, so that their strength reaches us and their burdens can finally rest.
This ritual is for you if you feel blocked in prosperity despite your effort, if you notice painful patterns repeating in your family, or if you simply feel that you are carrying something that is not yours.
Adoçamento
Adoçamento means “sweetening,” and it is one of the most loving rituals of Brazilian tradition. Where the other rituals release, this one restores. It works with the sweetness of nature: the apple, honey, cinnamon, rose petals and the warm flame of a red candle.
Life can make us hard. Disappointment, grief, stress and years of protecting ourselves slowly take away our softness. We become tired, guarded and bitter without noticing, and we forget how it feels to be gentle, to receive, to delight in life.
Adoçamento brings your own sweetness back to you.
This ritual is about you. It is not done to anyone else and it does not try to change anyone else. It calls back your tenderness, your joy, your charm and your ability to receive love. When your own sweetness returns, the way you speak, love and move through the world changes, and life begins to answer you more sweetly too.
It is also beautiful after a cutting ritual. Once the old cords are released, we fill the space they leave behind with your own sweetness.
Which ritual is right for you?
How I hold the ritual
Every ritual begins with a conversation. I listen to your story and feel which ritual your energy is truly asking for. Sometimes a person comes for an energetic divorce and what they really need is to clear an ancestral pattern. Sometimes two rituals work beautifully together.
I prepare each altar with the elements: coarse salt for protection and purification, sacred herbs, candles in colours chosen for you, and the thread or cord that represents the tie. Fire transforms, salt protects, the herbs cleanse, and prayer gives direction. When the ritual is complete, I guide you through simple care for the days that follow, so the new energy can settle in your body and your home.
If something in these words touched you, trust that feeling. Your soul already knows what it is ready to release and what sweetness it is ready to call back. I would be honoured to walk this path with you.
